~Falling~

the  leaves that remain
will fall to the earth below.
 then,
blanketing the roots of summer spent,
they patiently wait to feed the new spring's growth.

golden cotoneaster leaves cling stubbornly
to their twigs
waiting for the wind to free them

  2. Krissie, regardless of the weather, the cold temps, or the amount of snow we receive, the official date is December 21st.

  5. What a lovely photo, Sheila. Our beautiful colored leaves are falling like snow. The temps are mild right now in the south so I am enjoying that.

    Have a wonderful day!
    Hugs,
