~Leaves of Autumn~

"The winds will blow their own freshness into you,
and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop away from you
like the leaves of Autumn."
-   John Muir

Autumn mornings are the best! After a busy Summer, cares do feel as though they have dropped away. Time to sort leisurely through closets for warmer clothes, and look out cook books for Fall recipes. We don't need them quite yet as we are enjoying a warm humid spell, but it's good to be prepared. I have missed you all over the Summer, and have stopped by to see you now and then, peeking in and tiptoeing away without leaving a word. It feels good to be back. See you all soon.

  1. Hooray! Nice to see you back, Sheila. I think there are still a few summery days left for us to enjoy before we have to dig out the sweaters and the socks. Socks! I don't think I've worn a pair of socks since April!

  2. You can quietly tiptoe in and out over at my blog, any time, Sheila, but it was nice to hear from you today! It has turned very cool here and raining again.

  7. Hello sweet Sheila. Good to have you back. I love your header, beautiful photo and poem. I feel like I'm trying to soak up the last of the summer sun before the cold sets in.

  8. It is indeed good to have you back to blogging, we all missed you too:-) We're having fabulous weather this week, sunny and temps in the high teens and low 20's, not usual for this time of year but I won't complain! lol I still need to put away all of my patio furniture and garden ornaments so this week will be the perfect time to do it. Love your pictures and it's no wonder I love this time of year so much, look at the breathtaking colours! xoxo
