"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you."
~A.A. Milne~

I find it more and more difficult of late, to blog. I still enjoy reading your posts, but find myself uninspired when I try to write anything that is worth reading. So I will take a break, it may be a day, it may be a year, but I will be sure to post if anything comes to me that I think you might find of interest.
Big hugs & TTFN

  1. We'll be all the more delighted to hear from you again, dear Sheila.

Here's wishing you and Ivo a 'wind in the willows' summer.

    Lots of love, Lynda xx

  2. That's something I understand...I think I've done two posts this month, being busy with family and an upcoming granddaughter's wedding. Will be here when you post Sheila!

  3. I'll miss you but I understand. Keep in touch.

  4. I totally understand too... been feeling vey much the same lately and wondering if to break too. But I also love reading other blogs so will be missing your posts and on the lookout for you when you are ready to come back to post! hugs krissie

  5. Take care.. love to you and the family
    Huge HUGS

  6. many of us are feeling the same Sheila.. me included. And it is such a shame as we have built up a fantastic community with our blogging.. enjoy your break - however long it may be.. and if forever.. i hope that you & I keep in touch. love you always, Robyn xo

  7. Remember the days when we use to blog on a daily basis? Makes me wonder how we ever did it! lol Nowadays I'm lucky if I post 3 times in a week. Of course I'll miss your posts so don't stay away too long:-) I'd rather see a post from you once a month than none at all!!! Keep in touch my friend. xoxo

  8. Enjoy the break and let us know when you are back. I totally understand. I also love the quote. Thanks for sharing it. Often when I am not in the mood to blog I just leave a quote with a nice picture. Just what you have done here.

  9. Don't stay away for long, you know we all like to read your posts.
But I agree, I think we are all so much busier in the summer. It's so nice to be able to spand time out in the fresh air and sunshine.
However, I'll drop in from time to time, just to see how you are doing.
    Stay well.... hugs, F.

  10. Dearest Sheila, Just today I was thinking "Why bother blogging?"
    It's summer doldrums here. Expecting
    120 F degrees on July 4th...WTF!
You are one of my most special friends. I will miss seeing you here. Lets do more than poke each other on FB. Maybe some eMails.
    LOVE you!

  11. I was sorry to read that Ivo is having to undergo more treatment, let's hope that this does the trick. No point in blogging if it's becoming a chore rather than a pleasure but hopefully you'll be back sooner or later. Must just say that the photo in an earlier post of your aunts and uncles is great - typical 1950s seaside snap and I love those dark trousers that the lady on the right is wearing, she certainly had a great figure! Take care.

  12. JULY 1: Happy CANADA Day, Sheila and Ivo!

  13. I completely understand Sheila! I have been feeling that way too. I tell myself, "Just post when you want." trying to take the pressure off of blogging. It seems to help.

    Miss you ~

  14. I understand, Sheila. I'll miss you and will be thinking of you and Ivo.

I like the quote you posted.

    Big hugs,

  15. I returned to work this week and guess what was there waiting for me?
The library mouse had left calling cards on my desk again.ACK
    I thought of you...lol.
Why could't the Janitor trap it over the summer? Guess he was busy.
Hope you are enjoying your break from blogging. I am on one now too.

  16. Mum, get blogging~! lol
I want to see pics of your summer and you enjoying it.

  17. I know you're not blogging but thought I would tell you anyway..... Twins have arrived!
